This policy explains what we collect on booking.renovationassistant.com (the “Platform”), how we use it, and your choices. The Platform connects Hosts and Members to arrange room access under lodging licenses. The Platform does not handle license-fee payments between Hosts and Members.
1) Information we collect
• Account & membership profile (name, email, phone, role: Host or Member).
• Listing and license-request details (room info, dates, messages, attachments).
• Identity verification workflow data (e.g., verification status or tokens from our provider).
• Optional reference links you choose to share (e.g., professional profiles).
• Technical data (IP address, device/browser info, basic event logs).
2) Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies for login/security and Google Analytics for usage metrics. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3) How we use your data
• Operate the Platform (accounts, listings, messaging, host-confirmed access).
• Support identity verification and integrity of memberships.
• Communicate with you about account notices and service updates.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve performance.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce Platform terms.
4) Sharing
We share data with service providers under contract (e.g., cloud hosting, email/SMS, analytics, identity verification, customer support). If a Host purchases optional Platform services or subscriptions, we may use a payment processor to bill the Host. We do not process or escrow license-fee payments between Hosts and Members; off-Platform payments (e.g., bank transfer/Zelle) are governed by those services’ terms, and we do not receive your bank/card numbers for such transfers.
5) Security
We use HTTPS/TLS in transit and role-based access controls at rest. No system is 100% secure.
6) Retention
We keep account, listing, and messaging records for as long as your account is active or as needed for Platform operations, dispute resolution, and legal requirements. Analytics/log data may be kept for a limited period consistent with those purposes.
7) Your choices & rights
You can update account info in settings or request access/correction/deletion by emailing info@renovationassistant.com. You may disable non-essential cookies via your browser. Nevada residents (NRS 603A) may opt out of the sale of personal data; we do not sell personal data.
8) Children
The Platform is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9) International
Data is processed in the United States. By using the Platform, you consent to U.S. processing.
10) Changes
We may update this policy; the “Effective” date will reflect the latest version.
